Additionally, they will provide inpatient GI consultative services and nights/weekends call coverage at Longs Peak Hospital up to 8 weeks per year in rotation with other members of the Longmont CU GI community practice group.The successful applicant for this position will be someone who communicates appropriately and effectively with patients, staff, consultants, and colleagues, has outstanding customer service skills, and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.Key Responsibilities:Evaluation and management of GI disorders within the scope of a general gastroenterologist, including:*GERD*Dysphagia*IBS/functional GI disorders*Eosinophilic Esophagitis*Inflammatory Bowel Disease*Abnormal liver function tests*Pancreatitis*Occult iron deficiency anemia*GI motility disordersInterpretation of GI diagnostics including:*Routine endoscopic procedures within the scope of a general gastroenterologist (polypectomy, treatment of upper/lower GI bleeding, endoscopic dilation)*Capsule endoscopy interpretation*Wireless pH capsule placement (Bravo)*Hydrogen Breath TestingAdditional experience and skills*Diagnostic ERCP and EUS*Therapeutic ERCP and EUSWork Location:Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Longmont, CO.Why Join Us:The University of Colorado's Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology in the Department of Medicine is an internationally-renowned program that provides comprehensive resources for the diagnosis and management of diseases of the digestive tract, pancreas and liver.
