We strive to support the well-being and mental health of the communities we serve, and we are seeking a passionate Consulting Psychiatrist to aid in the provision of specialized psychiatric care.Job DescriptionAs a Consulting Clinical Psychiatrist, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality mental health services through ensuring our team of Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners are supporting the needs of our clients. You will collaborate with various healthcare providers, provide collaboration for our PMHNPs that practice in a state that requires a MD level collaborator and contribute to creating effective treatment plans for individuals seeking mental health support.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments of clients where the scope is out of the comfort level of the PMHNP.Develop, implement, and monitor treatment plans for the department.Provide consultation and education to other healthcare professionals regarding psychiatric issues and management.Prescribe and manage medication regimes in conjunction with therapeutic interventions on cases that you are assigned.Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care.Offer crisis intervention services via phone, video conferencing, or in-person as needed.Stay current on developments in the field of psychiatry to ensure evidence-based practices.QualificationsDoctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.Board certification in Psychiatry.Valid and active medical license to practice psychiatry in Indiana or willing to secure an IN licensure.
