Mount Sinai is seeking outstanding candidates for an Assistant Professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases, at Mount Sinai Morningside and Mount Sinai West!The Division of Infectious Diseases at Mount Sinai West (MSW) and Mount Sinai Morningside (MSM) Hospitals, with a history rich in clinical care, clinical research and teaching, seeks a full-time Infectious Diseases physician interested in advancing our thriving inpatient consultative services.This position is inpatient-only, staffing 36 weeks of our “Attending-Only” service.The Division embraces the mission of Icahn School of Medicine pursuing an integrated approach to patient care, research, and education, while fostering a true team spirit rich in collaboration and mutual support.Faculty appointment in Infectious Diseases at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, commensurate with experience.Highly competitive salary and full package of benefits.ResponsibilitiesConsultative Infectious Diseases Position:Board Certified/Eligible in Infectious DiseasesCommitment to education and clinical excellenceExperience in and commitment to providing innovative health care to diverse patient populationsCommitment to quality is a mustResponsibilities include but are not limited to:Rigorous, efficient and collaborative Infectious Diseases assessments of hospitalized patientsEngage entire healthcare team—nursing trainees, case management, family—with up-to-date recommendations for diagnostic testing and treatmentEncourage health promotion, disease prevention, and health maintenance, while providing patient advocacy Ensure accuracy and efficiency with eye towards returning patients home and limiting length of stayParticipate in Peer Review processQualificationsMedical Degree from an Accredited UniversityNew York State Medical LicenseBoard Certified/Board Eligible in Infectious DiseasesCommitment to the highest quality of clinical careCompensation range from230K to 272K(not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)Salary Disclosure Information:Mount Sinai Health System provides salary range to comply with New York City law on Salary Transparency in healthcare advertising.
