Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesVenice Family Clinic is a leader in providing comprehensive, high-quality health care to people in need. The organization has more than 500 staff who serve 45,000 people with compassion, dignity, and respect across an area from the Santa Monica Mountains through the South Bay. We have a network of clinics, Early Head Start centers, and mobile clinics, plus an expansive street medicine program to reach people experiencing homelessness. Read more about us at .Under the leadership of the Chief Medical Officer, the Venice Family Clinic physician evaluates, treats, and makes appropriate diagnostic and specialty referrals for our patients. The physician is an integral part of the clinic staff, providing leadership and expertise on medical and patient care issues. The staff physician plays a key role in orienting and providing technical support to volunteer medical providers, serving as a positive role model and ensuring volunteers understand clinic procedures. They also provide continuity of care for patients. The physician collaborates with all clinic departments including nursing, pharmacy, clinic coordinators, and mental health staff. Flexibility in days and hours is required, including some evenings.Salary RangeThe University of California, Los Angeles, provides an estimated salary range for this role, which considers various factors in compensation decisions. Salary offers are based on qualifications and experience.Salary range: $235,000 - $250,000 annuallyJob QualificationsRequired qualifications include:Active California Medical LicenseBoard Eligible in Family Medicine, Med/Peds, or Internal MedicineKnowledge of medical issues affecting minority, underserved, and homeless populationsSkill in providing adult and pediatric medical care in a high-volume clinic settingAbility to manage chronic illnesses such as diabetes and obesityAbility to teach and supervise residents and medical studentsTeamwork skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary staff and volunteersWillingness to learn and utilize Electronic Health Records effectivelyAbility to meet productivity goals set by the Chief Medical OfficerSpanish language skills are preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
