It reflects our hospital's dedication to providing the best care for patients and partnering with them and their loved ones to maintain high standards and quality of care that results in better outcomes.Job DetailsResponsibilitiesThe hospital supports six (6) closed intensive care units including: a cardiothoracic ICU, a neuroscience ICU, a pediatric ICU, a neonatal ICU, a surgical ICU, and a medical ICU.Subspecialty support in all medical/surgical areas including but not limited to: endocrinology, cardiology, nephrology, pulmonology, urology, interventional radiology, ophthalmology, plastic surgery, oral & maxillofacial surgery, orthopedic surgery, vascular surgery, neurosurgery, thoracic surgery and cardiothoracic surgery.The GSUH hospitalist leads an interdisciplinary team in the comprehensive care of admitted medical patients.The team consists of over twenty full time hospitalists and is expanding to meet the needs of our community.The hospital has broken ground on a new patient care pavilion that will be completed in 2025.There is advanced practice professional (nurse practitioner and physician assistant) support in all areas and residency programs in:Emergency medicine, family practice, podiatry, pediatrics and obstetrics and gynecology.Our reputation for excellence is built on great choices and empowered leadership, and fosters a team that's focused on evidence based practice, continual learning and exceptional quality of care.RequirementsLicensed to practice medicine in New York StateBoard Certified or Board eligible within 3 years with training in internal medicine or family practiceNew resident graduates are welcome.BCLS and ACLS certified from American Heart Association.
