OverviewNeurologist (Stroke) role at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health. The Neurology Department consists of 11 Neurologists who care for patients across the spectrum of neurologic disease. We are part of the Neurosciences Institute, co-located with neurosurgery, neuropsychology, neuro-physical medicine and rehabilitation, and the inpatient neuro-hospitalist service. We maintain a collegial work environment with bi-monthly journal club, neuro-radiology conference, neurovascular conference, neuro-oncology tumor board, and research affiliation with the Benaroya Research Institute. As a teaching hospital, Internal Medicine residents rotate here, and we have an affiliation with the University of Washington with rotating medical students at our downtown location. Resources include a PhD research program manager, clinical pharmacist, RN case management, and a social worker. Call is shared among all Neurologists.Our group serves in one of the most rapidly growing areas in the country. Living in the Puget Sound Region offers active city life with outdoor opportunities. As part of the Neurosciences Institute, we integrate care and are co-located with neurosurgery, neuropsychology, neuro-physical medicine and rehabilitation, and the inpatient neuro-hospitalist service.
