Job Description for General Internal MedicineTitle: Staff PhysicianInstitution: University of MiamiDivision: Digestive Health & Liver Diseases, GastroenterologyDepartment: MedicineReports to: Chief, Division of Digestive Health & Liver DiseasesFaculty Appointment: VoluntaryDate: August 8, 2025Type of Position: Full TimeSummary of Job Responsibilities:The staff physician in the clinical track is responsible for providing outpatient care to GI and Hepatology patients at Uhealth Doral and/or Solé Miá in North Miami. The position involves approximately 9 half-days per week. Solé Miá is opening in Fall 2025. The physician will provide outpatient clinical and endoscopic services, including Gastroenterology screening procedures, to patients requiring these services.Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Maintaining outpatient clinics and performing endoscopic procedures at Uhealth Doral and Solé MiáRotating on night and weekend on-call duties at UHT and JMH, proportionate to other physiciansRotating on inpatient services at UHT or JMH, proportionate to other providersQualifications:MD Degree with ACGME-accredited internal medicine internship and residency, and GI fellowshipValid American Board Certification in Internal Medicine (or eligible)Board Certification in Gastroenterology/Hepatology (or eligible)Valid unrestricted Florida Medical License or eligibility to apply (must have license prior to credentialing)Valid DEA licensureCurrent BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferredMust be able to provide procedure case logs for the past two years for credentialingKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures, and techniquesMaintain CME credits to meet institutional and state licensing requirementsExcellent clinical knowledge and experience to ensure safe, high-quality patient careAbility to manage close encounters within 72 hours #J-18808-Ljbffr
