OverviewMedStar Medical Group Anesthesiology (MMGA) is seeking a full-time anesthesiologist with an expertise in Regional Anesthesia and Acute Pain Medicine to be based at MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC. We have a robust regional anesthesia program, with over 3,400 blocks performed per year for our burn, cardiac, orthopedic, plastic, and trauma surgery patients.Our Acute Pain Service is an ever-growing part of our practice, with an emphasis on peripheral nerve and neuraxial catheter placement, improving the patient experience, and minimizing opioid utilization.MedStar Washington Hospital Center is a quaternary care center and Level 1 trauma center in the heart of Washington DC. Our Anesthesia department provides care in over 40 sites, including 30+ ORs, Endoscopy, EP Lab, and Labor and Delivery. We are a teaching institution and serve as a clinical site for anesthesia residency, SAA, and SRNA programs. The candidate will participate in delivery of anesthesia care across multiple sites and support the department’s mission of excellent patient care and education.
