Urology Physician Assistant opening with West Georgia Urology - Inpatient and outpatient Clinical practiceJoin to apply for the Urology Physician Assistant opening with West Georgia Urology - Inpatient and outpatient Clinical practice role at Tanner HealthJob SummaryWe are seeking an APP for Tanner Health’s Urology service with West Georgia Urology. The provider will join a multi provider team of physicians and other APP’s and report to the Executive Director of the West GA Urology practice. West GA Urology is part of Tanner Medical Group which consist of 42 individual practices and has approximately 270 total providers.This APP will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide services for patients with Urologic issues in the clinic and hospital setting under the supervision of the supervising physicians. He/she will collaborate with other providers while conducting physical exams, diagnose and treat acute and chronic issues, order and interpret diagnostic test including lab work and imaging studies, provide education and counseling to patients while maintaining medical records via EPIC EMR.Position RequirementsMonday- Thursday 7am-5pmFriday 7am-12pmJob Eligibility RequirementsEducationCompleted Physician Assistant program in good standing or Master of Nursing with specialization in Nurse PractitionerCertification/LicenseCurrently hold or be able to obtain a Georgia Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant LicenseCurrently hold or be able to obtain a Board Certification as Nurse PractitionerExperienceOpen to candidates with experience in Urology or related fields.QualificationsAble to communicate effectively with medical and hospital staff and various populations in clinics and public screening events.ACLS recommended.Additional certification will be required for some specialties (i.e. ACLS, PALS)Graduate of a recognized Physician Assistant program.Must be capable of dealing tactfully and effectively with patients, family members, other employees and physiciansMust maintain high degree of confidentiality.Must meet credentialing criteria.Must possess the cognitive ability to understand patient medical records, physician orders and medical orders to be communicated to patient, hospital and/or other physician.Must possess the sense or discipline to work in accordance with accepted clinical standards.Prior experience in a like specialty preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
