Job Description

Position OverviewThe Division of Cardiovascular Medicine is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible noninvasive cardiologist to join an elite team of academic physicians at the assistant or associate professor rank. The successful candidate will focus on both routine and complex cardiovascular care, including inpatient and outpatient consultative and primary services in a world-class facility at the Richard M. Ross Heart Hospital. Interests in clinical and extramurally funded research desirable. Interest or experience in imaging is a must. The Ohio State University Division of Cardiovascular Medicine comprises more than 60 cardiology and vascular medicine specialists who provide heart and vascular care with access to innovative technologies, treatments, and clinical trials.ResponsibilitiesProvide routine and complex cardiovascular care for inpatients and outpatients, including consultative and primary services.Engage in clinical and potentially extramurally funded research; imaging experience is encouraged/required.Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team at a world-class academic medical center and participate in teaching and training of fellows and other clinicians.RequirementsBoard Eligible/CertifiedSuccessful completion of a US-accredited cardiology fellowshipEligible for an Ohio medical licenseClinical and extramurally funded research desirableQualify for an academic appointment at The Ohio State University – Academic rank and salary commensurate with training and experienceThe Division of Cardiovascular MedicineThe Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, comprised of over 60 cardiologists, focuses on general cardiology, interventional, electrophysiology, adult congenital heart disease, heart failure, heart transplantation, mechanical circulatory support, pulmonary vascular disease, women’s cardiovascular disease, cardiac MRI/CT, and cardio-oncology. The division is affiliated with the Ross Heart Hospital, ranked by US News & World Report as among the nation's best hospitals.
