Compensation varies based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, performance, location and salary range at the time of the offer.ResponsibilitiesAscension Medical Group Wisconsin is looking for a Interventional Cardiologist for our Cardiology group covering Franklin and St. Francis Hospitals along with corresponding outreach clinics.This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension Medical Group to provide medical services to patients.Position Highlights:Acute cardiac patient populationEcho, stress, nuclear and EKG readsDiagnostic TEEs (Not a requirement)Call schedule 1:4 weekends with the potential of 1:5 (Friday night – Monday morning) 1–2 nights per week4 APPs who also support weekend call coverageResponsibilities:Evaluates and treats patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skillsRecommends, participates in, and works to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patientsAccepts patient referrals from other physicians. Acts as admitting, attending and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses, depending on needs of patients, medical staff and hospitalParticipates in academic programs (e.g. medical education and research) as requestedProvides appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeal all denials in a timely mannerParticipates in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedulesRequirementsLicensure/Certification/Registration:Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Verified by local Credentialing Office.Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.
