Chief Financial and Administrative OfficerBe among the first 25 applicantsResponsibilitiesLead the financial and administrative functions of a thriving JCC, overseeing Finance, Human Resources, Technology, Security, Facilities, and Administrative Support teams.Shape the future of the MN JCC by partnering in decisions that drive mission fulfillment and long-term fluence organizational culture by modeling and reinforcing values that promote accountability, equity, transparency, and belonging.Tackle enterprise-level opportunities and challenges, influencing growth, adaptation, and sustainability across the organization.Serve as an internal and external ambassador, representing the JCC with staff, Board, partners, funders, and the broader community.Ideal candidateYou are an experienced CFO or senior finance leader, confident in managing budgets, forecasting, audit, risk, and financial strategy.You are a strong operational generalist who can build cross-functional teams and drive high performance across multiple disciplines.You are independent, accountable, and take ownership of outcomes.You are confident and decisive, taking initiative to move work forward with urgency and clarity.You have an entrepreneurial mindset and embrace change as an opportunity to improve.You are a systems thinker who sees the big picture, connects the dots, and designs processes that work.You are a clear and compelling communicator who can influence, coach, and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.You know how to lead people through change with empathy, steadiness, and clarity.You bring a data-informed mindset to decision-making and performance evaluation.You bring (or are open to learning) a deep appreciation for Jewish culture and values, which form the foundation of our community.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business AdministrationMinimum 7-10 years of progressively responsible experience in financial leadership, including CFO or senior-level finance rolesStrong knowledge of GAAP, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and risk managementExperience leading audits, managing cash flow, and ensuring regulatory complianceProficiency in financial systems and the ability to implement or upgrade systems and processesDemonstrated experience supervising diverse operational departmentsExcellent communication skills — able to explain complex financial topics to both finance and non-finance stakeholdersStrong organizational and strategic thinking skills with a bias for actionComfortable operating in a mission-driven, community-focused, and values-based environmentPreferredCPA, MBA, or relevant advanced degreeExperience working in organizations with complex programmatic and revenue structures (e.g., fee-for-service, fundraising, grants)Familiarity with fund accounting, capital budgeting, and long-term financial planningUnderstanding of or willingness to learn Jewish culture and values, and how they inform organizational decision-makingSalary$135,000 - $150,000Agency InformationFor nearly a century, the JCC has been a cornerstone of community life in Minneapolis and St. Paul, enriching lives through a broad range of programs and services—from Early Childhood Education and Summer Camps to Health & Wellness, Recreation, Inclusion, Youth and Teens, Supportive Services, Adult Enrichment, Inclusion Programming and Jewish Arts & Culture.
