MGS provides aviation services at various airports in the US: Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Virginia, Atlanta, Baltimore and Las Vegas.We are seeking an experienced and strategic Managing Director to lead our operations at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. This critical leadership role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of station performance, including client relations, safety compliance, financial accountability, business and team development. The ideal candidate is a results-driven leader with a passion for operational excellence, experience and a commitment to fostering a culture of accountability, service, and continuous improvement.BenefitsPaid Time Off (for FT positions)Paid Training401(k) Retirement PlanMedical, dental, vision benefitsReferral BonusIncentive RewardsCareer growthEssential FunctionsReasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Direct the daily operation at the airport and leadership team.Responsible for delivering and/or implementing policies, systems, programs, processes, procedures and/or plans within the station.Monitor and maintain staffing levels with the assistance of Human Resources Department.Seek new business opportunities and promote company services.Develop and approve schedules and changes.Participates in daily, weekly, monthly, and annual planning process as appropriate.Conducts weekly or biweekly meetings with leadership team.Participate in any airport meetings, including CBP or any other department, where the company representation is needed.Make sure all equipment is accounted for and in good condition. Ensure a daily or weekly inventory.Ensure the station meets financial targets through effective scheduling and time management.Maintain a favorable working relationship with employees and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate, which will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity, and efficiency/effectiveness.Effectively coach, counsel, and disciplined employees.Work closely with the Safety and Training department, to ensure the safety and security of the operation.Keeps the C-level fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action which may be munication areas of accountability and performance expected of personnel spire and motivate others to do petenciesLeadershipTeamwork OrientationStress Management/ComposureEthical ConductGood CommunicationCustomer/Client FocusPhysical DemandsThis position is very active and requires standing, walking and seating.Required Education And ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Aviation Management, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Minimum of 2–3 years of General Manager or Director experience in the aviation or airline industry, particularly in handling services, is highly preferred.Additional Eligibility QualificationsMust successfully pass a comprehensive background check.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is a plus.Proven ability to maintain positive and professional relationships with both employees and clients.Solid understanding of management principles and best practices to ensure effective leadership and operational oversight.Demonstrated critical thinking and decision-making skills, with the ability to assess situations quickly and respond appropriately.Security ClearanceMust be eligible for CBP seal and pass the criminal background check to obtain the airport ID.Other DutiesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
