Job Description

OverviewAuto Body General Manager role at Gerber Collision & Glass.The General Manager is responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience while leading and managing the day-to-day operations of the Collision Center in compliance with policies and procedures. The role plans and implements daily operations to meet overall KPIs and insurance metrics, coaches and empowers team members, and upholds high standards of professionalism in serving customers.Key Job ResponsibilitiesEnsure consistent execution of the WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.Prepare and manage the annual and monthly operating budget of the collision center.Forecast, target and track monthly sales, profit and expense objectives.Deliver formal annual performance reviews and informal monthly performance reviews.Monitor and maintain all A/P and A/R relating to the Collision Center.Maintain a clean and organized repair facility at all times.Monitor all maintenance required for all shop equipment, including the paint booth.Provide training for all staff as necessary.Ensure all staff wear proper safety gear and adhere to dress code.Open and close the facility daily as per established procedures.Conduct or coordinate daily production meetings/walks to confirm throughput and delivery dates.Manage all estimates to ensure labor mix is within established standards and manage store capacity.Lead and manage all repair facility personnel.Facilitate monthly Health & Safety and staff meetings; attend monthly managers meetings.Attend training, information sessions and workshops recommended by Senior Leadership Team.Store CSI performance review and follow up within 24 hours.Education And/or Experience RequiredPost-Secondary Education or equivalent.Proven leadership experience in a collision repair environment or similar role.Required Skills/AbilitiesAttention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.Ability to consistently demonstrate a successful client municate clearly both verbally and in writing.Ability to motivate others utilizing effective coaching tools and management skills.Benefits That Drive Your SuccessUp to 80 hours of Paid Time Off Annually2 weeks of paid parental leave for Full Time employees who work a minimum of 30 hours per week6 paid holidays annuallyMedical, Prescription Drug, Dental & Vision Insurance401(k) Retirement Plan with company matchEmployer Paid Short-Term Disability & Life InsuranceAdditional Voluntary Life InsuranceContinuing Education OpportunitiesFree prescription or non-prescription safety glasses each yearAnnual Voluntary Uniform StipendEqual OpportunityGerber Collision & Glass is proud to be an equal opportunity employer committed to an inclusive and diverse workplace.
