With strong seven-figure annual product revenue and accelerating growth, we’re ready to expand our product line, deepen our retail presence, and bring Ayurveda to a global audience.The RoleWe are seeking a Director of Product Operations to professionalize and scale Surya’s product business. This is a critical leadership role — bringing structure, discipline, and expertise to an area that has not previously had a dedicated owner. You will oversee the full product lifecycle, from concept through sourcing and production to retail delivery, ensuring Surya’s products meet the highest standards of quality, compliance, and profitability.Three Non-NegotiablesIndustry Expertise: 5+ years of direct experience in skincare, wellness, or natural personal care.Operational Fluency: Proven ability to manage sourcing, supply chain, BOMs (Bills of Materials), COGS (Cost of Goods Sold), and compliance across domestic and international markets.Retail & Distribution Acumen: Experience working with retailers (luxury department stores, specialty shops, or large e-commerce platforms) and ensuring products are retail-ready, compliant, and positioned for strong sell-through.Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Strategy & Roadmap: Shape Surya’s product portfolio and innovation pipeline in alignment with Ayurvedic principles and growth goals.Sourcing & Manufacturing: Build and manage supplier partnerships, oversee production runs, and ensure ethical, sustainable sourcing.Financial Rigor: Own BOMs, cost analysis, and margin strategies to support sustainable scaling.Regulatory Compliance: Oversee labeling, testing, and regulatory approvals in U.S. and international markets.Retail & Channel Development: Partner with retailers and distributors to deliver flawless product launches and supply.Team Leadership: Mentor and grow a product operations team as Surya scales.Qualifications5+ years in skincare, wellness, or natural personal care product operations.Demonstrated success bringing products from concept to market at scale.Mastery of sourcing, manufacturing, BOMs, COGS, and compliance.Experience collaborating with luxury or specialty retailers and distributors.Strong financial skills and data-driven decision-making ability.Alignment with Surya’s ethos: Ayurveda, natural wellness, and conscious luxury.Why Join UsAt Surya, you’ll step into a role with the mandate and freedom to build a product business at scale.
