Our employees are not only part of history, they’re making history.Northrop Grumman Microelectronics Center (NGMC) is seeking Principal / Senior Principal IFC Test Plan Support Systems Engineer.What You’ll Get to Do:Creates comprehensive test strategies and detailed test plans, outlining the overall approach to testing, including objectives, scope, test levels, and resource allocation.Develop testing strategy specifically to test Initial Functional Capability configurations of the System. Aligns strategy with overall Program Test Plan strategy.Partner with System and Sub-System Integration Lab leaders to identify and support early integration activities to reduce eventual test event risk for a large and complex system that incorporates mature and emerging technologies across multiple segments.This position will serve on-site in the Redondo Beach, CA or the Greater Baltimore, MD areaThis requisition may be filled as a Principal IFC Test Plan Support Systems Engineer or Senior Principal IFC Test Plan Support Systems Engineer.This position is contingent upon acquiring and maintaining the necessary US Government security clearance per customers’ requirements.Basic QualificationsFor Principal IFC Test Plan Support Systems Engineer:Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university with at least 5 years of experience; 3 years with Master’s Degree; or 1 year with PhDDemonstrated experience with Systems Development Lifecycle and successful execution of major engineering reviews and eventsDemonstrated experience in systems development, integration, and testDemonstrated Requirements Management with a focus on VerificationDemonstrated experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (SysML/MBSE)Risk and Opportunity Management experienceUnderstanding of DoD systems engineering requirements (e.g., UAF, DoDAF)Multi-Disciplinary Engineering exposure (Software, Hardware, Electrical) and strong ability to communicate cross functionallyU.S. citizenActive DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI and a Polygraph prior to startBasic Qualifications for Senior Principal / Principal IFC Test Plan Support Systems Engineer:Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline with at least 8 years of experience; 6 years with Master’s Degree; or 4 years with PhDDemonstrated experience with Systems Development Lifecycle and successful execution of major engineering reviews and eventsDemonstrated experience in systems development, integration, and testDemonstrated Requirements Management with a focus on VerificationDemonstrated experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (SysML/MBSE)Risk and Opportunity Management experienceUnderstanding of DoD systems engineering requirements (e.g., UAF, DoDAF)Multi-Disciplinary Engineering exposure (Software, Hardware, Electrical) and strong ability to communicate cross functionallyU.S. citizenActive DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI and a Polygraph prior to startPreferred QualificationsPreferred Qualifications for Principal / Senior Principal Principal IFC Test Plan Support Systems Engineer:Professional certifications, such as INCOSE CSEP/ESEPExperience with Continuous Integration/Continuous DeploymentUnderstanding of Hardware and Software testing methodologiesExperience with MBSE and Requirements management tools, such as Cameo and DOORSKnowledge and experience with Material Review Board, Process Configuration Board, Configuration Control Board and Failure Review Board processes, proposing/defending and implementing Change NoticesFamiliarity with Project & Task Management tools: Jira or ConfluenceFamiliarity with some subset of specialty engineering tools, such as MATLAB, Docker, Kubernetes, Visual Studio, Python, Elasticsearch, Grafana, Tableau, Cadence tools, or similarSalaryPrimary Level Salary Range: $110,300.00 - $165,500.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $137,400.00 - $206,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off for vacation and/or personal business.
