We need a leader who can balance execution with empathy—someone who is as skilled at building trust and culture as they are at streamlining processes and driving M&A integrations.If you love bringing structure to complexity, thrive on connecting people across functions, and want to make a tangible impact on a fast-growing organization, this could be your career-defining opportunity.What You’ll DoLead with impact: Guide a 20+ person operations and administrative team, ensuring clarity, accountability, and collaboration across Tax & Consulting.Be the integrator: Serve as the operational lead for post-close M&A, ensuring smooth onboarding of new firms, people, and processes.Optimize & modernize: Drive process improvements and implement technology solutions that enhance efficiency and scalability.Champion culture: Foster a people-first environment where communication flows, innovation is welcomed, and teams feel connected to the mission.Partner to grow: Work hand-in-hand with senior leadership and regional directors to align strategy, execution, and long-term goals.Location: Based out of Rockford, IL headquarters or Tax Centers in St. Charles, IL; Iowa City, IA; Cedar Rapids, IA; Dover, DE; or Lewes, DE. Travel will be required during integrations.Work Model: More in-office time during onboarding; potential for hybrid (3 days in-office, 2 remote) once established.Hours: Standard business hours with flexibility. Expect 55–60 hours/week during Tax Season (Jan–Apr).Scope: Leadership role with both operational and strategic impact, balancing hands-on execution with mentorship.What We’re Looking For7–10 years of leadership experience in operations, professional services, or consulting (tax/financial industry background a plus).Proven success leading cross-functional initiatives and navigating change.Strategic problem solver with a willingness to roll up sleeves.Excellent communicator and relationship-builder with executives and front-line team members.Strong track record of building and leading high-performing teams.Skilled in process improvement, systems implementation, and performance measurement.Why Join UsA growing, independent, employee-owned firm with a fee-only model.A people-first culture grounded in excellence, integrity, respect, growth, and servant leadership.A collaborative, innovative environment where your work has real impact.Base Salary Range: $127,500 – $180,000, depending on experience, skills, and location.
