Macdonald & Company has been exclusively retained by a privately held real estate investment firm to identify a strategic and execution-focused Chief Financial Officer & Head of Capital Markets. This dual-role executive will oversee all finance and accounting operations while leading capital raising efforts across institutional and high-net-worth channels. The role is part of the Senior Leadership Team and offers a path to partnership after three years based on performance.About the RoleThe successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the company's growth and success.Key ResponsibilitiesCFO Function:Lead all financial operations including accounting, budgeting, treasury, audit, tax, and complianceManage internal controls, financial reporting, and investor communicationsAdvise the CEO and support long-term planning and growth strategyOversee financial statement preparation and cash flow analysisDirect and mentor accounting and finance staffCapital Markets Function:Lead all equity and debt fundraising initiativesManage investor relationships, including family offices, institutions, and private clientsOversee creation of offering materials, investor reporting, and presentationsStructure investment vehicles, analyze returns, and support the Investment CommitteeDevelop and execute strategies to expand the firm’s investor baseQualifications8+ years of experience in real estate capital markets, accounting, and financeProven ability to raise capital and manage investor relationshipsStrong technical proficiency in financial modeling and reportingCPA, CMA, or MBA preferredExperience with Yardi and advanced Excel requiredStrong leadership, communication, and relationship management skillsCompensationCompetitive base salary, annual bonus, and meaningful profit participation.
