General FunctionThe Associate Optometrist leads by delivering the brand promise, experience and company results through collaboration and teamwork. This role ensures patients receive the highest quality optometric care by performing clinical protocols, while partnering with the Store Manager, store team and Regional Manager to drive growth. The Associate Optometrist is a key ambassador of the brand, driven by high standards and a patient-focused mindset.Major Duties & ResponsibilitiesEnsure executional excellence and winning results in partnership with the Store Manager and store team.Demonstrate commitment to exceed results with strong KPI management and accountability.Position the Brand as the leading optical provider within the community.Act as a successful stakeholder to all leaders within the organization and local market.Place the patient/customer first and deliver excellent service.Strive to exceed expectations on all KPIs.Convey commitment to unsurpassed patient service by guiding staff through the Service Process steps: Address patients’ visual life style needsRecommend eyewear based on patient needsExplain each step of the eye exam and listen to patientsUtilize tools and aids to summarize and ensure patient understandingCommunicate the need for annual eye exams and schedule next examsConduct services in accordance with protocol and accepted standardsEnsure patients receive accurate diagnoses and appropriate recommendationsEstablish a positive doctor/patient relationshipLeverage technology to deliver exceptional patient experiencesMaintain office systemsMaintain state licensure in good standing and continue education requirementsProvide effective training and guidance to team members using company programsDeliver clear, motivating feedback to associatesFoster a positive culture aligned with corporate valuesEncourage associate decision making at the point of patient careMaximize partnerships through leadership and involvementMaintain a professional office appearance and a safe working environmentLead by exampleBasic QualificationsDoctor of OptometryCommitment to quality patient careKnowledge of current optometric theory and technologyStrong communication and listening skillsProblem solving abilitySolid organizational skillsEmployee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
