OverviewNurse Practitioner, Per Diem Mobile Health FresnoOnsite role requiring the Nurse Practitioner (NP) to work at various locations and events within Fresco County. Core hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekend hours may be required.The Mobile Health NP is the lead for patient evaluations and treatment decisions and acts as the licensed provider on site, monitoring clinical tasks performed by lower-level unlicensed clinical staff.The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on factors including work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. Through Mobile Health, UCSF Fresno takes health care to communities where it is needed most and provides learning opportunities for future health care providers. The COVID-19 Equity Project (CEP) expands UCSF Fresno’s Mobile Health program by bringing equal access to barrier-free COVID and other health care services to target communities, in partnership with community-based organizations. Required QualificationsMinimum two (2) years/' Nurse Practitioner experienceHave a reliable source of transportationAbility to be flexible with work schedule and location Preferred QualificationsTriage skillsExperience performing complex physical assessmentsRelated NP experience in both adult and pediatric populationsExperience working in remote or low resource practice environmentsDesire to work with underserved populations, particularly unsheltered or migrant populationsStrong interpersonal skillsProblem solving abilityAbility to work well with other healthcare providers and staffBilingual (English/Spanish) License/CertificationCalifornia Registered Nurse (RN) License without restrictionCalifornia Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) without restrictionCalifornia Nurse Practitioner Furnishing Number including Schedule II furnishing privilegesNP national board certification from an accepted certifying agency aligned with the patient population and clinical roleHybrid Adult and Pediatric Outpatient (Family, Primary, or Specialty Care) certification (FNP-C, FNP-BC, or dual adult/pediatric certifications as applicable)California Driver License (if required for position)Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Registration with Schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5 registered to a California addressAmerican Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationAdditional required AHA certifications: PALSAdditional required certifications (such as ENLS): none UCSF Medical Center and Campus require credentialing through the Office of Medical Affairs & Governance (OMAG) prior to the first working day. Credentialing and approval of the Standardized Procedures takes between 60-90 days but can vary.
