The role of the physician will be as a Clinical Associate within the busy and diverse department, serving Columbia, Maryland and the surrounding county. The Emergency Department sees upwards of 40,000 patients annually. The department is equipped with a triage area, fast track space, seperate behavioral health unit and a main ED Space. We are looking for a physician who is ready for a diverse subset of diagnoses, high acuity, and fast paced ED setting.QualificationsPhysician must have completed their residency in Emergency Medicine and be board certified in Emergency Medicine. For those candidates just out of residency, boards must be passed within one year of employment. This may include documentation of having two (2) MMR vaccines; two (2) Varicella vaccines; or antibody status to these diseases from laboratory testing. Blood tests for immunities to these diseases are ordinarily included in the pre-employment physical exam except for those employees who provide results of blood tests or immunization documentation from their own health care providers.
