We are relentless in the pursuit of our mission, and ensure that we are taking care of ourselves in order to care for others.About the OpportunityAs a Medical Director at Pair Team, you will play a critical role in supervising and supporting our team of Nurse Practitioners (NPs), owning the development and implementation of clinical policies and protocols, and collaborating closely with our Population Health team to ensure excellent outcomes for underserved communities. You will report to the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and contribute to the strategic direction of the company's clinical operations.This is a fully remote position with opportunities for in-person engagement. The role requires travel to represent Pair Team at conferences and with other partners and stakeholders. This role is externally titled Associate Medical Director (Value-Based Care) to accurately reflect its focus and scope. Internally, it is referred to as Medical Director.What You'll DoLead and supervise our team of Nurse Practitioners and Physicians, providing clinical oversight and mentorship to drive high-quality patient care.Ensure Pair Team achieves its value-based cost-of-care and HEDIS targets by developing and executing new, evidence-based clinical protocols and policies in partnership with our Population Health team.Serve as a key clinical leader, bridging clinical expertise with operational needs and collaborating closely with behavioral health, nursing and care management leadership to ensure seamless care delivery.Partner with the Chief Medical Officer to inform clinical strategy and contribute to organizational growth.Serve as the escalation point for complex clinical questions from our front-line teams.Own and cultivate relationships with health plans, community organizations and other stakeholders, acting as a strategic partner to advance Pair Team's goals through impactful external engagement.What You'll NeedBoard certification in Family or Internal Medicine as a Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), with an active and unrestricted medical license in California.5+ years of clinical experience, including at least 2 years in leadership or supervisory roles, in safety-net settings.Proven ability to develop and implement clinical protocols and policies in a dynamic healthcare environment.Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including clinical, operations, growth and population health.A passion for serving vulnerable populations, including those experiencing homelessness, severe mental illness, or substance use disorders.Experience in telehealth or technology-enabled care delivery models is a fort in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment that values autonomy and innovation.BenefitsCompetitive salary: $200,000 - $250,000 (DOE)Equity compensation packageFlexible vacation policy – take the time you need to rechargeComprehensive health, vision & dental insurance$50 employer contribution to active HSA accounts401k through GuidelineLife insurance and AD&DWork entirely from the comfort of your own homeMonthly $100 work from home expense stipendWe provide the equipment needed for the roleOpportunity for rapid career progression with plenty of room for personal growthPair Team is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
