That’s why our teams are comprised of compassionate, dedicated professionals from a variety of backgrounds who collaborate to provide the very best evidence-based care for our clients at all levels of care.Position SummaryThe Family Practice Physician will be responsible for overseeing and delivering high-quality medical care to clients within our treatment facility. This role combines clinical care with leadership responsibilities, ensuring that clients receive comprehensive, compassionate, and effective treatment. The Lead Physician will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, dietitians, therapists, and nursing staff, to develop and implement individualized care plans and will also provide guidance and mentorship to other medical staff.LocationOnsiteWith Floating outpatient as neededScheduleMonday through Friday (8:00 am-5:00 pm)0.6-0.8 FTE optionsResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive assessments, including medical history, physical exams, and diagnostic testing, for individuals with eating disorders and related comorbid conditions.Develop, implement, and adjust treatment plans to address the complex medical and psychiatric needs of patients with eating disorders.Prescribe medications and oversee medication management in accordance with best practices and patient-specific needs.Provide direct medical interventions for co-occurring conditions that impact eating disorder recovery.Provide guidance, supervision, and mentorship to the medical team, including physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and nursing staff.Supervise up to 5 midlevel staff to provide excellence in assessments, planning and patient care.Lead case conferences and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic, patient-centered care.Serve as a resource and subject matter expert for staff, sharing knowledge of best practices in medical aspects of eating disorder treatment.Work closely with the facility’s Medical/Psychiatric Director and other leadership to uphold clinical standards and continuously improve patient care protocols.Collaborate effectively with psychiatric providers, nursing, dietitians, therapists, and other clinical staff to create and maintain a unified approach to treatment.Promote a learning environment that supports professional growth and competency within the medical team.Very manageable caseload, most days seeing 5-8 patients.Participate in call rotation with medical staff.QualificationsMD or DO from an accredited medical schoolBoard-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine.Current, unrestricted medical license in the state of employment (Ohio).Educational OpportunitiesThe Emily Program offers medical staff up to 40 hours each year and $4000 annually to participate in CME related continuing education.
