Hospice & Palliative Care Associate Medical Director Opportunity Join to apply for the Hospice & Palliative Care Associate Medical Director role at Health eCareers. Position Overview BridgingLife, a LifeBridge Health Partner located in Westminster, Randallstown, and Baltimore, MD, has delivered compassionate hospice care for over 35 years. We are seeking a full-time Associate Medical Director to join our team, working alongside our Medical Director to provide specialized hospice and palliative care. The position offers flexibility to work on-site at any of our facilities, including Dove House, Westminster; Northwest Hospital, Randallstown; or Sinai Hospital, Baltimore. Responsibilities Participate actively in weekly Interdisciplinary Group (IDG) meetings, providing clinical leadership. Certify and recertify patient eligibility for hospice care, considering diagnosis, health conditions, and clinical data. Complete narratives for certificates of terminal illness. Ensure clinical findings support continued hospice eligibility during recertifications. Develop and revise comprehensive care plans, including pain and symptom management. Provide accurate documentation of patient care services. Manage medical care for hospice patients, including prescriptions and signing death certificates. Review medication regimens for effectiveness and safety. Participate in on-call coverage, including overnight and weekend shifts. Advise management on complex care issues and collaborate with attending physicians. Focus on patient comfort, dignity, and aligning care with patient and family goals. Assist in managing inpatient and outpatient palliative care programs. Serve as acting Medical Director in their absence. Perform other duties as assigned by the Medical Director.
