OverviewThis position is responsible for assisting the Anesthesiologist in all departments and with all anesthesia procedures, including expediting patient flow through the perioperative area, maintaining patient safety, and developing and maintaining external (patient, surgeon) and internal (Anesthesiologist, staff) customer satisfaction. Responsible for set up, operation and some maintenance of specialized equipment, including life support. This position also assists the Anesthesiologist with evaluation and monitoring of the patients during the perioperative phase. Assists in sterile or isolation areas. Participates in a call rotation for continuous Perioperative Support Technologists (PST) at night, on weekends, and holidays.
