OverviewJoin the Essentia Health Cancer Center team, the largest cancer care program in Northern Minnesota, Northwestern Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. You’ll have access to cutting-edge treatments, the latest technology and current oncology clinical trials. We offer outstanding multi-disciplinary cancer care in close coordination with our surgeons, palliative care, radiation oncology, pathologists and interventional radiologists. We participate in NCORP research and offer multiple clinical trials through our grants and investigator initiatives. The Essentia Health Cancer Center is accredited as a Comprehensive Community Cancer Program and the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers by the American College of Surgeons. We are committed to prevention, treatment, follow-up care, and research. See patients in the main campus clinic overlooking Lake Superior, with outreach cancer center visits and hospital consultations. Hospitalists admit and cover patients at night. Provide Medical Hematology/Oncology, with access to Pediatric Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Oncologic Surgery, Interventional Radiology, Palliative Care and Hospice. Engage in NCORP research and participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards. Collaborate with a Hem/Onc team of 10 providers (8 MDs, 2 APCs) using an interdisciplinary approach to tailor treatment plans. Includes regional outreach and approximately 12–14 follow-up visits and 1–2 new patients per day. Responsibilities Provide consultative hematology/oncology services and patient care across clinic and hospital settings. Collaborate with surgical, radiation, pathology and support teams to develop individualized treatment plans. Participate in tumor boards, multidisciplinary conferences and clinical trials.
