Mammography Technologist (ARRT)

Position Summary: Under the direction of the Radiology Administrator and Clinical Director, the Mammography Technologist will perform diagnostic and screening mammograms at our flagship Family Health Center, El Nuevo San Juan.Minimum Qualifications:ARRT Mammography CertificationNYS DOH Radiology Technician LicenseKnowledge of Digital 3-D and Quality Control highly desiredCompletion of 2 years from Accredited School of Radiologic Technology1-2 years of related experienceBilingual English/Spanish strongly preferredKey Duties:Complete patient education regarding the exam, promote patient privacy and comfortPerform diagnostic or screening mammography as ordered, with appropriate documentationAssist the Radiologist in complex mammography examinationsProduce high-quality films for radiologist evaluation, paying attention to detailPerform quality control functions related to mammographyAssist in compiling and maintaining statistical dataFollow infection control and safety guidelinesDemonstrate understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminologyMaintain accuracy in mammography positioning and exposure techniquesServe as primary liaison between patients, Radiologists, and support team membersParticipate in continuing education to maintain current knowledge and skillsPerform duties using proper body mechanics, including manual dexterity and fine motor coordinationStarting Compensation: Minimum $85,000 per year; Maximum $88,000 per yearBenefits as a full-time associate at Urban Health Plan:Fully funded health insurance for you; 73.5% funded for your familyDental, vision, and prescription coverage401(k) retirement savings with 3% employer contributionPaid vacation, personal time, sick leave, and holidays (including your birthday!)Flex Spending Accounts (Health care, Dependent Care, Commuter Benefits)Entertainment Discount ProgramsEmployee Assistance ProgramsEligibility for Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF)Fitness discounts and perks through our medical plan$50,000 term life insuranceWork Environment, Location, and Schedule: Position based at Bronx Family Health Center: El Nuevo San Juan.
