Hematology Oncology Physician

Overview The Department of Medicine at Corewell Health in Southeast Michigan is recruiting a full-time Hematology Oncology Physician. The practice currently includes one physician and an advanced practice provider. Patients are evaluated at tumor boards including lung, breast, GI, and hematology. The physician may participate in clinical trials and there is hospitalist coverage for admissions and overnight inpatient emergencies. The physician will be able to participate in teaching activities with residents and medical students. The group collaborates with radiation oncologists, primary care physicians, and surgeons. The radiation oncology department has access to advanced technology including direct access to proton therapy. Social work, nutritional, and genetic counseling services are available on site. The ideal candidate should be a generalist who is comfortable managing medical oncology, malignant hematology, and benign hematology. Weekend call is rotated within the group. One to three years of experience is preferred; however new graduates are welcome.
