OverviewJob SummaryThe Orthopedic Cast Technician supports the clinical activity of the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery provider and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery clinics. The Orthopedic Cast Technician coordinates all activities related to casting, including casting, splints, ordering and maintaining supplies, inventory, and care of equipment. The cast technician maintains the Cast Room and ensures knowledge, competency, and compliance with all health and safety policies and procedures as implemented by the department/work unit and UCSF Medical Center. The individual will room all Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery patients in addition to casting responsibilities, and adhere to departmental policies and procedures, including telephone and house standards.To see the salary range for this position, note the job code and search the UCSF salary database: TCS Non-Academic Titles Search.
