Senior Chemist - Chemaid Research & Development (Salaried, SG&A)Join us at kdc/one, Chemaid as a Senior Chemist in Research & Development. This role involves developing and formulating new personal care products based on client specifications and formulations from the Formulating Team.Position OverviewDepartment: Research & Development LabReporting to: Technical Director, Research & DevelopmentNo direct reportsResponsibilitiesPrepare bench batch submissions for client approval based on prescribed formulations and specifications.Manage projects independently from start to finish, ensuring deadlines are met through effective prioritization.Analyze test data to improve formulations and recommend actions based on research municate scientific data and technical information to project managers.Collaborate with formulators to enhance or customize formulas, processes, or analytical methods.Ensure product stability and efficacy, maintaining relevant data and issuing specifications as needed.Accurately document all laboratory work in notebooks and electronic databases.Evaluate results to identify optimal solutions for formulation challenges.Mentor and train junior chemists and laboratory staff, including equipment use and SOPs.Maintain compliance with cGMP, GLP, and SOP standards relevant to the personal care industry.Perform additional duties as assigned.Skills & QualificationsStrong chemistry knowledge related to personal, hair, and skin care products.Excellent mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Effective communication skills, both written and oral.Proficiency in MS Office applications.Experience with laboratory equipment and formulation processes.Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.Physical Demands & EducationPhysical ability to handle chemicals, move objects up to 10 lbs, and perform lab tasks as required.
