This position will manage the current system integrations and system implementations from a clinical trial operations perspective, while helping define future research system strategy for clinical trial operations. This role will also jointly lead clinical trial process improvement and implementation efforts across the clinical trial research footprint (NC, SC, GA, IL, and WI).Essential Functions:Demonstrates expert knowledge of Good Clinical Practices (GCP), International Conference on Harmonization (ICH) Guidelines, as well as applicable rules/regulations pertaining to research.Ensures alignment of research/trial activity with clinic operations across the enterprise.Develops teammates through mentoring and example, participating in or offering continuing education/seminars, etc.Participates actively in the budgeting process, managing staff acuity and assignments proactively to support trial operations at investigator sites.Partners with allied service lines to ensure alignment of services for clinical research (includes pharmacy, radiology, pathology, laboratory services, etc.).Partners with physician leaders, researchers and executive stakeholders to optimize resources for projects across the enterprise.Works closely with corporate partners to facilitate trial start-up (budget, contract, regulatory).Serves as a conduit to LCI Nursing Leadership to ensure alignment with critical System and oncology-specific nursing requirements.Drives regional and programmatic expansion through site assessments and planning activities.Directs trials operations across diverse sites, modalities and tumor teams.Updates executive stakeholders on current/forecasted resource requirements, accrual status, financial performance, investigator performance, etc. through formal presentations and reports.Physical Requirements: Primarily works in an office setting. Requires full range of body motion; sitting for extensive periods of time; walking, standing, reading, and writing/keyboarding. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 35 pounds.Education, Experience And Certifications: Bachelor's Degree required, health/science preferred. Master's Degree preferred.
