Job Description

OverviewGeneral Manager at Papa John’s. This position oversees all operational aspects of a Papa John’s restaurant to ensure profitability, quality, and compliance with Company policies and applicable laws.ResponsibilitiesMonitor product quality and customer service standards; identify deficiencies and follow up with direct reports to address and correct issues.Respond professionally and promptly to all customer concerns.Solicit customer feedback, share it with the team, and use it to improve restaurant operations and build brand loyalty.Oversee training and execution of quality standards.Lead recruiting efforts to meet staffing needs and ensure uniform and appearance standards compliance.Establish performance expectations and conduct timely performance reviews; document issues and take appropriate disciplinary action up to termination.Coach and develop direct reports; foster teamwork, energy, and a positive environment; implement team member recognition programs to reward and retain high performers.Manage sales against budget and prior year; ensure prompt, friendly service; implement plans to improve sales trends (ticket average, order frequency); pursue additional sales through traditional and local marketing and community presence.Manage profit goals against budget; control food, labor, and other controllable costs; correct deviations using appropriate tools; develop plans to improve profitability.Execute administrative and cash management duties.Plan and manage inventory levels to meet sales demands while minimizing loss; ensure the restaurant is clean, well-equipped, and safe; oversee preventative maintenance and repairs as needed.QualificationsTwo years of successful restaurant management or supervisory experience preferred.High school diploma (or equivalent) required.Serv-Safe/Local/State Food Service Certification.Basic accounting including invoice reconciliation and financial statement analysis; cash management skills.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while setting and achieving team goals.Bilingual in certain markets (preferred in some locations).Must have a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.Must be able to perform job duties in a restaurant environment; exempt, salaried position; employment contingent upon satisfactory background check.Work EnvironmentWorking conditions are typical of a restaurant environment.
