This posting is retrieved from the original job description.Base pay and scheduleRate of Pay: Pay for this position is determined by the Athletic Coaching Stipend Schedule based on paid years of experience up to 5 years.Salary stipend range for external coaches is between $290-$7,032 per season. Salary stipend range for internal coaches is between $290-$8,143 per season. (Internal coach is defined as any employee with a schedule contract percentage or hourly assignment for the current school year. Internal assignments do not include substitute, seasonal, and varied hours assignments.)Work calendar days: Athletic Season. Duration of position: Ongoing. Benefits include: PERA Retirement.ResponsibilitiesServe as Head Coach of a high school athletic team and support the development of the athletic program by teaching fundamentals and advanced skills of the sport while following Colorado High School Athletic Association (CHSAA) and Poudre School District guidelines.Coordinate assistant coaches and volunteers, practices and other administrative duties.Supervise, organize and lead practice sessions to develop sport skills and sportsmanship; supervise student athletes before, during, and after all school-sanctioned events; ensure student safety at all times; ensure athletes are equipped for safety.Supervise assistant coaches and volunteer coaches.Attend and monitor all practices and municate expectations to athletes and parents, including practice schedules, games, academic performance, respect, commitment, dedication, and sportsmanship.Conduct administrative responsibilities including equipment inventory and security, budget, transportation, coach certifications, and tracking eligibility and academic progress of student athletes.Follow all CHSAA and Poudre School District guidelines.Coordinate with the school Athletic Director regarding budget, transportation, equipment, and practice schedules. Establish practice schedules, locations, times, team size, equipment maintenance, lockerroom supervision, extra practices, camps, or out-of-league contests.
