OverviewGeneral Manager – Vice President of Culinary Experience to lead the culinary and hospitality program at Montereau, a premier luxury senior living community. This role focuses on delivering refined, high-end dining experiences across multiple venues, driving innovation, operational excellence, and service excellence aligned with the community’s wellness and lifestyle offerings.ResponsibilitiesLeadership: Provide visionary leadership and direction to all departments, including food and beverage.Operational Excellence: Ensure smooth, efficient operations with the highest standards of service, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction.Financial Management: Develop and manage the annual budget, monitor financial performance, and implement cost-control measures to achieve financial objectives.Guest Experience: Cultivate a welcoming and exclusive environment, addressing guest needs promptly and professionally.Marketing and Communication: Develop and execute strategic marketing and communication plans to enhance experiences and guest engagement.Staff Development: Hire, train, and mentor a team of professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.Event Planning: Oversee planning and execution of events and social activities, ensuring alignment with club standards and guest pliance: Ensure operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards and best practices.Knowledge and SkillsAdvanced knowledge of hospitality and business management.Ability to study, analyze, and interpret complex information to improve practices or develop new approaches.Extensive wine and spirits knowledge.Excellent communication skills to negotiate, influence, and engage with managers, guests, and corporate clients.Strong verbal and written communication to interact with managers, guests, and employees.Understanding of P&L components and driving efficiencies within an operation.QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).Experience: 5+ years in a leadership role within luxury hospitality or country club environments.Skills: Strong financial acumen, excellent communication, and a proven track record of delivering exceptional guest experiences.Attributes: Passion for hospitality, commitment to excellence, and the ability to inspire and lead a team.Certifications: Relevant industry certifications are a plus.BenefitsMedical, Dental, VisionLife Insurance and Disability InsuranceRetirement PlanFlexible Time Off and Holiday Time Off (varies by site/state)Associate Shopping Program and Wellness ProgramsDiscount Marketplace, Identity Theft ProtectionCommuter Benefits, Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs)Paid Parental Leave and Personal LeaveCompass Group is an equal opportunity employer.
