It is a fast-paced, people-facing role that spans entrepreneurship, business development and operations management. You will be building the plane while flying it, with a focus on leadership and operational excellence. ResponsibilitiesManage the on-site daily operations of Via’s service in MobilePrioritize operational issues as a real-time point of contact for drivers and dispatchers and provide creative solutions for scheduling of a round-the-clock teamManage and mentor the on-site team of dispatchers and shift managersBe the face of the operation; develop relationships with driver partners, customers, community leaders, and local organizationsLiaise closely with Via senior management and Via’s external partnersDevelop clear metrics for the team and visibility into results against KPIs and priorities on a weekly basisPrepare reports and analyze data to improve operational processes, ensure resources are properly allocated, and maximize efficiency and customer satisfactionEnsure compliance with all relevant federal, state, local and company policies, procedures and regulations on service operationsLead, coach and develop an engaged team of drivers, fostering a collaborative, cohesive, and energetic environment QualificationsExperienced operations manager, with at least 8-10 years of experienceIndependent self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments and accepts a high level of responsibilitySavvy and tactful communicator with the ability to adjust tone appropriatelyDesire to foster a culture committed to providing world-class customer serviceDetail-oriented executor who is action-oriented and able to operate autonomouslyProven leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop teamsFlexible and adaptable, able to respond quickly to changeProven track record of managing teams (3-5 years) and developing peopleAbility to manage multiple tasks, delegate, prioritize and take responsibilityProblem solver who looks for creative solutionsExperience working in transit is a plusSuccessful completion of a drug test, criminal background check, and motor vehicle records check is mandatory for employment Compensation and BenefitsFinal salary determined by experience, knowledge and skills.
