OverviewOur team is expanding, and we are looking for an experienced Collision Repair General Manager to join our team. We are an employee-centric team, and we want you to join us!The General Manager oversees and assumes responsibility for various departments, ensuring profitability and adherence to company policies and procedures. The role covers departments including estimators, services and parts, auto body technicians, painters, and maintenance technicians.ResponsibilitiesForecasts goals and objectives for the department and strives to meet them.Assumes full responsibility for center profit and loss (P&L) management, including cash control and security procedures, managing supply and materials costs, staffing, and facilitation of materials and supply ordering and management.Provides leadership, management, and oversight to all center personnel, including hiring, training, developing, coaching, and promoting team members, as well as managing compensation and discipline.Prepares and administers an annual operating budget for the body shop.Ensures all personnel and team members understand key performance indicators (KPIs) and receive proper training and support to meet or exceed KPIs.Establishes and maintains good working relationships with insurance adjusters and with customers to encourage repeat and referral business.Monitors technicians** daily productivity reports and payroll records.Gives fair estimates on costs and time required for bodywork.Follows up on vendor service and performance.Monitors the progress and completion of vehicles in the shop, ensuring proper repair and safety procedures are followed.Maintains high-quality service repairs and minimizes comebacks; conducts periodic spot checks for thoroughness and quality.Checks quality of completed work and handles customer complaints promptly with urgency.Prepares final billing for completed repair orders and controls accounts receivable for body repair work.Understands and complies with federal, state and local regulations affecting body shop operations (e.g., hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know) and provides necessary training.Ensures proper safety equipment is available and used correctly.Facilitates and/or conducts technical training and sends employees to appropriate training schools as needed.Monitors maintenance of paint booths, frame straightening equipment, and other large fixed assets to ensure long-term usage and value; keeps abreast of new equipment and tools and recommends purchases.Attends managers' meetings and maintains professional appearance.QualificationsHigh School degree or equivalent experience requiredBachelor's Degree preferred but not requiredValid Driver's LicenseMinimum of 3 years of management experience in the collision repair industryExperience with industry software (e.g., CCC One, Mitchell, Parts Trader, ALLDATA)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsExceptional customer service skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
