Overview General Manager / Restaurant Director job description: The Fielding’s General Manager position leads restaurant operations, Service and Culinary, and directly reports to the Director of Operations. Responsible for hiring, team development, execution, sanitation standards, food service execution, scheduling of the Service line and leadership team, and delivering consistent desired financial goals. Maintains professional relationships with all department managers and employees. Duties are varied and complex and are subject to evolve with business growth. Able to adapt to evolving marketing promotions, procedures, techniques, tools, materials, equipment, and products. Oversees and is responsible for the team’s development and training with a focus on service performance. The General Manager is held accountable for the team’s and restaurant’s operational and financial performance. Responsibilities Promote and maintain the Company culture and values Lead by and model desired behavior Inspire the staff to exceed guest expectations Follow and inspire others to achieve the Company vision to be the premier food and service provider in the market area Know the food and beverage, being a product champion Know and hold others accountable for behavior as defined in the Partner Handbook Handle cash and credit cards to expectation Open and close the restaurant to expectation Competencies & Qualifications Sommelier certification preferred Integrity in all decisions, communications and operations Strong oral and written communication skills Present a professional demeanor with high personal presentation standards Strong computer skills Be a leader of people and process Able to lead in a positive manner in a high stressful situation Able to multitask Have a truly happy disposition Bi-lingual a plus Enjoy and be successful in fluid situations Able to think on your feet quickly Demonstrate knowledge of food and beverages, with a focus on wine sales Able to lift and carry 25 pounds Able to follow directions and show initiative to make and follow through on decisions Develop positive relationships with culinary team to understand Consistently seek ways to improve and promote a high level of guest service and sales Review and discuss guest and Partner feedback Treat guests and Partners with respect Provide a risk-free and safe working environment and experience Apply accurate logic and common sense in decision making or solving problems Seek expertise, help and resources to achieve goals and objectives Stay focused and detail oriented while on duty and work through distractions Able to identify, prioritize activities and modify work routines to eliminate wasted efforts Follow guidelines and rules of Fielding’s Culinary Group Speak clearly and logically to be understood and get the point across when communicating Ability to read and interpret documents, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals Benefits Bonus based on performance Competitive salary Dental insurance Employee discounts Flexible schedule Health insurance Paid time off Training & development #J-18808-Ljbffr
