Non-remote employees must be willing to work this schedule. To view more details of what you can look forward to, visit our careers page: SVP, Business Development is accountable for the overall strategy and execution in growing the population of independent financial professionals at Osaic. The SVP provides strategic direction for the Business Development team including strategic leadership, hiring, training team members, goal setting, performance management and coaching. Additionally, the SVP is responsible for developing and communicating the annual department business plan. This position reports to the EVP of Recruiting & Revenue Acquisitions, and encompasses the strategic direction related to: Top-Tier financial professional acquisition; sourcing, brand awareness, transition, and post-affiliation. This position will have a team of direct reports.ResponsibilitiesRepresent Osaic and our Wealth Management Firms, starting with a deep understanding of our Wealth Management suite of solutions, and following with research and observation to see how the solutions meet the needs of potential financial advisors/enterprisesWork with SVP Sales Enablement to create sales training and coaching programsProvide sales training and coaching to Business Development direct reportsCreate a business plan that sets production and activity goals that will drive success in achieving the team goalsPrepare and deliver formal business presentations to qualified prospective representatives highlighting AG/WMF products, technology, and service. Answer questions and utilize sales techniques to recruit businessParticipate in new business development ventures and strategic recruiting efforts as neededMeet quarterly and annual sales goals through the successful implementation of consultative selling tacticsNurture new leads and build relationships with qualified Financial Advisors and Enterprises and actively manage a sales pipeline through execution of the sales processDevelop and implement a territory action plan through territory analysis, prospect research, and goal settingActively develop relationships with product sponsors, wholesalers, and other centers of influence to expand your pool of prospectsWork across the Osaic to develop relationships with internal stakeholders and partners to drive efficient and effective processes and a five-star prospect experienceActively use Salesforce to track activities, manage leads, develop new opportunities, and build strong pipelinesWork closely with Business Development team members and management to foster peer-to-peer best practice sharing and coachingOther duties as assignedEducation RequirementsBachelor’s degree preferred, high school diploma (or equivalent) in combination with significant experience will be considered in lieu of degree. Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent is requiredBasic RequirementsMinimum 10 years of experience in the financial services industryMinimum 5 years of managing a teamTrack record of successful sales/recruiting in the financial industryAbility to influence high-level decision makersThorough knowledge of wealth management products and operationsStrong understanding of the financial services industrySales and marketing experience with financial and analytical acumenKnowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and CRMs; ability to learn and demonstrate proprietary systemsStrong focus on customer serviceAbility to stay organized and balance and prioritize multiple prioritiesStrong public speaking skillsAbility to work across teams to achieve goalsStrong oral and written communication skillsDecision-making, particularly in a high-growth and risk-charged environmentAbility to travel up to 25% of the timePreferred RequirementsFINRA Series 7, 24, and 65 /66Life/Health insurance licenseProject management skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
