Qualified candidates will have extensive business knowledge and experience in the greater Los Angeles area, as well as strong communication and IT skills, demonstrated leadership and at least 10 years of prior experience managing challenging projects.Position Title: Senior Project ManagerReports To: Operations ManagerStatus: ExemptLocation: Los Angeles Metropolitan AreaRequired Experience: 10+ yearsSalary Range: $180,000 to $210,000+Responsibilities and Duties:Participate in pre-construction activities as neededAct as liaison with the client, architect, consultants, and the Department of Building InspectionInterface with site supervisors; look for and implement innovative construction methodsPrepare and maintain project schedulesPrepare project documents – client change orders, subcontracts, subcontractor change orders, meeting minutes, letters, memorandums, notices, etc.Provide assistance coordinating with onsite contractors in planning and coordinating the stages of connecting new systems with existing utility systemsControl and monitor subcontractors and monitor their performanceManage cost changes, track legitimate change order requests, compile fair pricing for work and forecast financial results accuratelyReview and expedite submittals and materialsMonitor critical material items and deliveriesMaintain quality control and production efficiencyMaintain immediate and direct responsibility for production phases of the project; resolve production problemsOversee that job site safety procedures are being followedProvide feedback on production costs to the Estimating DepartmentObjectives or Goals to Measure Performance:Profitable, on-time completion of projectsPromotion of positive image of the companyTimely submittal of proposalsCustomer/client satisfactionAdherence to company policy and procedure manualPersonal professional growth and educationMinimum Skills or Experience Requirements:Bachelor college degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or Architecture is required (advanced degree or training favored)Minimum of ten years construction-related experience is required overseeing projects valuing $50M to $200MExcellent English language verbal and written communication skills and effective interpersonal skillsWorking knowledge and experience with the following software and programs is required:MS Project or Primavera 6 for project schedulingSage Timberline Estimating and Procore for Construction ManagementOn-Screen Takeoff - construction estimating and takeoff solutions for contractorsPrecision - estimating software where we put all our estimate line itemsMicrosoft 365 – Outlook (email) and cloud-based suite of productivity applications like MS TeamsBluebeam – for PDF markup and collaboration toolDocusign – Electronic signature and agreementWorking knowledge and experience with the following software and programs is preferred:AutoCAD for schematic design and presentations and project layoutBIM for clash detectionV-Planner – knowledge in V-Planner (comprehensive solution for production planning and its supports the workflows of the Last Planner System (LPS))Plant Construction Company L.P. is an Equal Opportunity Employer, offers a competitive salary and benefits package and has an excellent record of employee retention.
