What You’ll Do Lead & Develop a Winning Team – Foster a guest-obsessed culture, ensuring every guest interaction is exceptional; recruit, train, and mentor team members, preparing them for growth opportunities; provide continuous feedback, coaching, and performance management; create a positive and engaging work environment where team members feel valued. Drive Store Performance & Profitability – Execute operational plans to meet sales, labor, and profitability goals; analyze sales, margin, and labor reports to identify opportunities for improvement; operationalize marketing strategies to boost food sales and promotions; monitor inventory, cash handling, and store expenses to optimize financial results. Ensure High Standards in Food & Safety – Lead by example in upholding good safety and sanitation standards; conduct regular quality checks to ensure food and beverage offerings meet, or exceed, expectations; train and enforce compliance with food handling, safety regulations, and company policies. Maintain a Clean & Organized Store – Ensure the store is always clean, well-stocked, and visually appealing; proactively address maintenance needs and vendor relationships; oversee scheduling and payroll execution to ensure proper staffing levels. Driving Success – Strategically direct control of inventory and the distribution of materials, merchandise, and supplies; review financial statements, sales, and other performance data to measure productivity; identify areas of operational improvements based on market trends; develop and maintain vendor relationships for efficient and correct deliveries; ensure communication is passed to every team member; use company tools to coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing team; ensure risk management issues are in compliance with company standards; create or approve schedules to ensure proper staffing levels for expected sales volumes while considering payroll and overtime costs; own staffing by providing timely feedback on interviews to the recruiting team; engage in hiring of all store associates and develop managers to understand RaceTrac hiring processes; participate in hiring decisions; write, implement, and monitor manager development and performance plans; ensure proper procedures are followed in hiring, promotions, and separations; ensure all team members follow policies and standards; ensure licenses are valid as required; understand budget and cost trends to drive sales and store financial health.
