Job Title: Senior Operations DirectorLocation: Meriden, CT.Salary: $150,000 – $190,000 (depending on experience)Type: Direct HirePOSITION OVERVIEWThe Senior Operations Director will oversee Chemical manufacturing, production scheduling, procurement, and warehouse operations across multiple sites. This role requires a strong leader with expertise in operations excellence, supply chain coordination, and cross-functional collaboration with quality, HR, and executive management. The Director will serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and external partners, ensuring operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.RESPONSIBILITIESManufacturingOversee buyer/planner functions for raw chemical materials and packaging.Manage production scheduling and coordinate second shift activities.Review and approve production batch records, specifications, and forms prior to Quality review.Create and update SOPs, training logs, cleaning protocols, and discrepancy/inventory adjustment forms.Provide leadership for the IRE Production project.Serve as liaison between Production and Quality to align on priorities, turnaround times, and project strategies.Warehouse HQManage disposal projects for expired and quarantined material (hazardous and non-hazardous).Coordinate unreleased final product storage between HQ and 3PL.Serve as point of contact for urgent driver requests, inventory adjustments, and investigations.Support annual HQ inventory.Warehouse 3PLDevelop new cleaning schedules in collaboration with contractors.Oversee plastic pallet recycling program.Conduct warehouse walkthroughs and manage work order follow-ups.Serve as point of contact for facility maintenance.OperationsLead Operations Excellence projects, including Power BI reporting and data alignment.Manage the Regeneron Account: oversee Open Order Reports, delivery coordination, KPI reviews, material movement, SCAR responses, procurement inquiries, and itiate and manage new part number forms for Biopharm products and raw materials.Oversee ESG initiatives including Ecovadis reporting.Troubleshoot AX ERP issues across customer service, warehouse, and production.Conduct personnel reviews and compensation planning for direct reports across Operations, Procurement, Production, and Warehousing.Partner with HR to identify, recruit, and onboard talent to support business needs.QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS10+ years of progressive leadership in operations, supply chain, or manufacturing management.Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (AX experience preferred).Proven experience leading warehouse operations (HQ and 3PL).Demonstrated expertise in SOP creation, compliance, and process improvement.Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.Familiarity with ESG reporting and operational excellence methodologies.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work cross-functionally.EDUCATIONBachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field required.Master’s degree or advanced certification (e.g., APICS, Six Sigma) preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
