This leadership role demands full ownership of team success, from sales development, project management, and subcontractor engagement to administrative optimization and long-term strategy.Key Responsibilities: Sales & Business DevelopmentAnnual & Quarterly Planning: Lead annual business plan submission and review.Assess sales goals, target clients, and market priorities.Review and revise business plans quarterly, adjusting based on performance and projections.Marketing & Job Reviews: Conduct monthly marketing updates and action plan assessments.Host bi-weekly job-specific recaps to review subcontractor alignment, job timelines, and active concerns.Oversee targeting of markets, scopes, and client types.Evaluate PM/Estimator marketing mercial Operations OversightProcedure Implementation & Review: Evaluate current procedures and solicit team feedback.Revise, streamline, or eliminate ineffective or redundant policies.Maintain a central hard file of current policies and conduct monthly reviews.Ensure adherence to procedures and address deviations.Oversee department/subcontractor engagement protocols.Resource Forecasting: Conduct quarterly staff reviews to ensure capacity matches project demand.Distribute workload appropriately across sales and operations.Determine subcontractor needs based on project volume and timelines.Identify long-term resource gaps and develop 12-month projections.Lead monthly reviews of forecast plans with internal teams.Subcontractor EngagementSubcontractor Development & Retention: Source and vet subcontractors, including specialty roles.Maintain and strengthen relationships with quality subcontractors.Assign projects based on performance and retain top performers.Benchmark labor rates against industry standards.Project Oversight: Conduct weekly project reviews with Project Managers to assess subcontractor performance.Review chargebacks and service orders; ensure subcontractor accountability.Quality Assurance: Perform site inspections and post-installation quality reviews.Evaluate safety practices, cleanliness, and jobsite conduct.Maintain an up-to-date subcontractor contact and capability list.Retention & Rates: Review subcontractor satisfaction and pricing pare to market rates and solicit new subcontractor referrals.Promote a culture of referral and recruitment among existing subcontractors.Project Manager Performance & Development: Assess PMs on interdepartmental communication, subcontractor relations, and client responsiveness.Conduct ride-alongs to evaluate field performance, job site conditions, client interaction, and issue resolution.Monitor adherence to policies and daily operational responsibilities.Ongoing Training: Facilitate RFMS training to improve system usage and accuracy.Lead monthly product knowledge sessions.Provide E-Sub and file/data tracking training.Administrative LeadershipProcess & Communication Optimization: Assess administrative roles for efficiency, clarity, and productivity.Eliminate redundancies and transition from hard copies to electronic documentation.Enhance cross-functional communication between Admin, PMs, and Warehouse.Procedural Oversight: Standardize and enforce procedures for release forms, schedule changes, and job closeouts.Conduct monthly reviews with Admin, PM, and Warehouse staff.Qualifications: Proven experience in commercial flooring, construction, or related industry.Demonstrated leadership in managing cross-functional teams and subcontractors.Strong understanding of operational forecasting, sales processes, and quality assurance.Proficient in RFMS and electronic document management systems.Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.Ability to travel locally to project sites as required.Core Competencies: Strategic Ownership & AccountabilityOperational & Procedural DisciplinePeople Development & CoachingQuality & Process ImprovementSales Acumen & Business Growth MindsetCross-Functional LeadershipWhy Company: At company, we are committed to delivering exceptional service through professionalism, innovation, and accountability.
