OverviewVP General Manager Motion Safety role at Justrite Safety Group (Checkers brand). The Motion Safety Group offers vehicle and motion safety equipment including wheel chocks, warning whips, barricade lights, industrial beacons and strobes, parking lot safety solutions, vehicle identification signs, and composite cribbing. Products are designed to be high-quality and to support a safe working environment.RoleVice President / General Manager for Motion Safety Group (Checkers brand) reporting into the Chief Operating Officer. The GM will oversee and manage the company’s commercial operations, developing and executing strategies for profitable growth and margin expansion. This role is responsible for a $65 million revenue business with 160 total employees across field sales and two manufacturing locations: Broomfield, CO and Titusville, PA. The GM will lead the business and supporting functions to achieve annual operating plans (AOP) and execute strategic growth plans through driving commercial/sales strategy, product management, new product development, engineering, and marketing, with matrix responsibilities for manufacturing strategy and sites. The role cultures a talent- and performance-driven environment to exceed business results. The GM is responsible for the overall financial, sales, and operational performance of the business. The candidate must set a vision and strategy and articulate it throughout the organization, rallying the business around it. The ideal candidate will be forward-thinking and operationally engaged to help the team achieve goals. A business transformation mindset with the ability to identify opportunities in manufacturing and implement measurable improvements is preferred.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership and VisionProvide vision and leadership to foster a team-oriented environment and ensure continued implementation of strategies to achieve long-term operating improvement.Develop core capabilities through succession planning and development of top talent to meet current and future customer needs.Drive growth and business development strategies to identify opportunities and increase market share in existing and new markets.Establish annual business plans and ensure execution to meet or exceed revenue and EBITDA targets.Sales and Market ShareDirect the development and implementation of sales and service plans to achieve operating and financial objectives for the Checkers Motion Safety business unit.Lead efforts to improve market share and sales across distribution channels.Evaluate market demand to determine required assets and how to supplement them.Operational Improvement and Cost ManagementDrive operational improvements and cost-out initiatives through lean manufacturing and VA/VE engineering.Ensure a differentiated product roadmap is in place and executed to exploit market opportunities.Customer RelationsAchieve high levels of customer satisfaction by meeting or exceeding performance, delivery, quality, service, and value expectations.First 6-12 Months PrioritiesDevelop a product differentiation strategy to build brand loyalty.Review and develop manufacturing strategy to enable critical capabilities.Review the operational business model to ensure organizational synergy and alignment with strategy.Review the business and commercial strategy to align with future growth.Ideal Experience and QualificationsCommercial Excellence and Results OrientationStrategic mindset to identify trends, market shifts, and customer needs and translate them into initiatives to achieve revenue targets and market share growth.Proven ability to lead profitable growth, including new product introductions, effective sales management, and distributor/end-user relationships.Experience in cross-functional marketing to promote products/services and drive customer acquisition and retention.Data-driven decision making with KPI monitoring to optimize performance.Ability to form partnerships, alliances, or acquisitions to enhance market position.Strong relationships with customers, suppliers, industry groups, and regulators; pricing and value selling proficiency.Proven track record of leading a sizable organization to profitability; high urgency and culture of excellence.Financial Acumen And Analytical SkillsAbility to articulate and present P&L.
