OverviewJoin to apply for the General Manager role at RaceTrac.Job DescriptionAs the General Manager, you will be responsible for driving profitability for one RaceTrac store and leading up to 45 employees. You will continually deliver on RaceTrac’s mission of making people’s lives simpler and more enjoyable through a focus on friendly service, food execution, cleanliness, building talent, and driving success.ResponsibilitiesFriendly: Establish an environment of prompt, efficient, and courteous service and effectively engage in conflict managementFriendly: Lead and direct positive and professional relationships with co-workers, direct reports, guests, and vendorsFriendly: Communicate respectfully and maintain a consistent team-oriented attitude and store cultureFriendly: Manage and mitigate any reported guest concerns on designated shifts with a sense of urgency and involve appropriate regional team members as neededFriendly: Efficiently complete guest transactions at the cash register or self-checkout stations and suggest products that complement purchasesFood: Drive excellence in food service by executing designed processes, implementing goals to increase sales and margin, ensuring product quality, and using training resourcesFood: Ensure all food offers are available; develops managers to understand RaceTrac hiring processes and participate in hiring decisionsDriving Success: Write, implement, and monitor manager development and performance plansDriving Success: Ensure proper procedures are followed in regards to hiring, promotions and separationsDriving Success: Ensure all team members follow policies and company standards at all timesDriving Success: Ensures that all team members have correct valid licenses as required by state or local lawsDriving Success: Have complete understanding of budget and cost trends that impact operations; proactively work to drive sales and overall financial health of the storeQualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED in progress or completed5+ years of prior food service, retail, or restaurant supervisory experience;
