Why This Role Matters We’re looking for a hands-on business development leader who can open doors, build trust, and drive revenue in a competitive space. As one of the early hires on our sales team, you’ll play a central role in shaping our dealer network, influencing our go-to-market strategy, and setting the tone for growth. This is not a retail dealership finance manager job—it’s a B2B sales role selling financial products to dealerships. If you’ve successfully built dealer relationships, managed floor plan or financial product sales, and are ready to take the driver’s seat, this role was made for you. What You’ll Do Build the Network: Identify, qualify, and onboard independent luxury and exotic dealerships nationwide. Drive Growth: Own the full sales cycle—prospecting, pitching, negotiating, and closing. Be the Face of Exoticar: Represent us at trade events, auctions, and industry gatherings. Collaborate Across Teams: Work with the executive, underwriting, operations, and legal to deliver a smooth, white-glove dealer experience. Set & Exceed Goals: Hit performance targets for dealer acquisition, volume, and revenue growth. Shape the Future: Provide insights to leadership to refine our products and go-to-market approach. What Success Looks Like Within 3 months: A strong, active pipeline of luxury/exotic dealers. Within 6 months: You’ve signed several dealers who are actively financing vehicles. Within 12 months: A measurable portfolio of high-value dealer relationships delivering consistent financing volume. Within 24 months: You’re recognized as a trusted partner in the exotic/luxury dealer community, with repeat business and strong referrals. What You Bring 5+ years of B2B auto finance or specialty finance sales (dealer services, inventory lending, or related financial/insurance products). A proven record of sourcing and closing high-value dealer relationships. Deep knowledge of independent dealership operations, especially in high-end markets. Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Self-motivation, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Comfort working with CRM tools and reporting performance metrics. Bonus Points If You Have Existing relationships with independent exotic or luxury car dealers. Familiarity with dealership management systems, auto auctions, or asset-based lending. Experience selling insurance or financial products into dealerships.
