Overview NW Hospitality Group is an award winning local restaurant group with three concepts, Amaro's Table, Gustav's and Cecilia. All three concepts are well known in the Vancouver market for being scratch kitchens with a focused craft bar program. Currently with four locations in Vancouver, Washington, two Amaro's Table concepts, one Gustav's concept and one Cecilia concept. We are looking for a General Manager that is inherently detail oriented, self motivated and driven to create memorable guest experiences. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of restaurant management experience and/or 5 years in a leadership role within the hospitality industry, with at least 2 of the 5 years in a General Manager position in a full service, elevated dining establishment. You will be working with a progressive and committed management team that works together closely. Responsibilities Assist in training employees in food preparation, customer service, sanitation, and safety procedures. Development of property leaders, building the leadership bench strength for NW Hospitality Group. Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure efficient service and conformance to standards. Observe and evaluate employees and work procedures in order to ensure quality standards and service. Oversee schedules, assign duties, responsibilities, and work activities to employees in accordance with position requirements. Receive food and beverage deliveries, checking orders to ensure accuracy and quality. Assist in performing personnel actions such as hiring and firing staff in consultation with other managers as necessary. Follow through with equipment maintenance schedules and help arrange for repairs. Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately. Engage with guests throughout their experience and resolve guest complaints regarding food quality, service or facilities. Maintain restaurant opening and closing procedures with accuracy. Work with management to develop departmental objectives, budgets, policies, procedures, and strategies. Monitor budgets and payroll records and review financial transactions in order to ensure expenditures are authorized and budgeted. Monitor compliance with health, OSHA and fire regulations. Salaried managers are expected to work a 50 hour week with open availability preferred. Managers are expected to work both opening and closing shifts. Engage with guests throughout their experience and resolve guest complaints regarding food quality, service or facilities.
