OverviewLETTS CONSULT is conducting a search for a dynamic and hands-on General Manager to lead an outdoor hospitality property in the Roanoke-Lynchburg-Smith Mountain Lake area, where nature meets exceptional guest service. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a scenic, fast-paced environment and brings a strong background in team leadership and customer experience. Experience in hospitality is a plus. As GM, you’ll oversee day-to-day operations and guest satisfaction, staff management, and community relations.Role: RV Resort General ManagerAre you an experienced resort or hotel general manager looking to take your talents in a more entrepreneurial direction? We are looking for an RV Resort General Manager who has the right balance of revenue management, sales skills, and a knack for great customer service. You will oversee and direct the day-to-day operations for one of our largest RV resorts, a very guest-services oriented role with some sales and marketing duties to maximize occupancy.Job DutiesLead teammates to ensure daily tasks and goals are metDaily review of revenue streams including RV sites, boat slips, vacation rentals, retail revenue, and activity and amenity revenueEnsure guests receive the highest levels of serviceHandle and resolve escalated guest complaints, inquiries and issuesWork with marketing team to increase reservations and occupancy and further promote the resort’s brandOversee team member selection, training, scheduling and development and ensure all team members comply with appropriate policies and proceduresEnforce resort rules and regulationsMonitor compliance with safety regulations, health codes, and environmental standardsMonitor monthly operating budgets and prepare monthly explanation of P&L variancesEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local agencies that regulate fair housing laws and resort operationsCoordinate with maintenance, housekeeping, and groundskeeping staff to ensure facilities, amenities, and common areas are in excellent conditionOversee capital expenditure improvementsOther duties and special projects as assignedRequirementsHigh School Diploma or GEDBachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related field, preferred3 years property/resort management experience, preferredPrevious sales and leasing experience, preferredGeneral knowledge of maintenanceAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environmentWorking knowledge of basic accounting principlesBasic computer proficiency including email, internet and Microsoft Office Suite; experience using campground management software, preferredFlexibility to respond to resort needs during non-business hoursBenefitsYou will be part of an industry-leading organization where you will be challenged, inspired, rewarded and transformed.
