OverviewJoin to apply for the Denny's - GENERAL MANAGER role at Giants Baseball & Softball CampsReporting to the District Manager, the General Manager will be responsible for overall restaurant operations including execution and management of staff, controllable profit plan achievement, guest count growth, and sales building activities. Additional responsibilities include focus on employee selection, retention, continuous operational improvement, and a strong commitment to hospitality and guest satisfaction. General Managers must have a strong commitment to and exhibit Denny's Guiding Principles when interacting with others.ResponsibilitiesGuest focus: Ensure that all Restaurant Managers and employees put "Guests First" to provide a respectful and enjoyable environment, satisfied guests, and repeat business.People: Attracts, hires, develops, coaches, and retains Restaurant Managers and hourly employees to ensure an engaged, high-performing team. Includes creating and maintaining a respectful environment, recruiting effectively, using training programs, development plans, and providing timely coaching and feedback.Restaurant Operations: Directs operations to ensure Denny's Brand Standards for food and facilities are consistently achieved; ensures proper food preparation, handling, and storage; enforces sanitary practices for cleanliness and maintenance.Growth: Drives sales, guest count, and profit; develops local store marketing plans; builds community relationships; implements marketing promotions and co-op initiatives.Financials: Interprets financial and operational reports, analyzes data, identifies gaps, and develops solutions to meet operating goals.Security & Asset Management: Ensures proper security, cash handling, and inventory procedures to protect pliance: Maintains compliance with Denny's policies and applicable regulations.Problem Resolution: Proactively addresses issues (customer complaints, employee relations, facilities, security) and involves appropriate resources such as District Manager or HR as needed.Teamwork: Performs other duties as needed and supports petenciesFocusing on Guests: Puts guests first while balancing business needs to create win/win solutions.Driving for Results: Strives to meet or exceed goals; demonstrates drive and accountability.Working Collaboratively: Builds productive relationships with guests, franchisees, teammates, vendors, etc.Personal Accountability and Decision Making: Takes initiative, honors commitments, makes timely decisions, and influences others positively.Managing Talent: Builds strong teams, provides feedback and coaching, and develops future leaders.Leadership Courage: Leads with conviction, addresses issues, and provides constructive feedback.Business Acumen: Understands the business and market, and how functions work together for growth.Essential FunctionsMust be able to lift a tray weighing up to 25 lbsMust be able to lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 50 lbs; place items on shelves in various areasMust be able to bend, stoop, reach, lift, and graspMust be able to hear in a loud environment to respond to needsMust meet applicable health regulations for food handlingMust operate a point-of-sale system and handle monetary denominationsMust be able to work with all Denny's menu productsMust be able to work with potentially hazardous chemicalsMust have mobility to move and operate in confined areas and both indoor/outdoor environmentsMust be able to stand and walk during an 8 to 10 hour shift (occasional shifts beyond 10 hours)Must be able to tolerate extreme temperature changes in kitchen and storage areasPosition QualificationsMinimum of 3 years of experience in restaurant, hospitality, or retail management; additional operations/leadership experience preferredAssociate's or Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experienceFood Safety Manager certification requiredStrong organizational skills and excellent oral and written communication abilitiesAbility to communicate effectively in EnglishBasic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)Respect for diversityProven problem-solving ability and ability to handle high-stress situationsInterprets financial statements and understands contributing factorsNote: Any applicant offered employment will be required to review and sign an arbitration agreement for employment-related disputes.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeInternshipJob functionManagement and ManufacturingReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at Giants Baseball & Softball Camps.
