The General Manager leads a team of employees in a positive, motivating manner and is a results-oriented leader committed to quality service.Duties & ResponsibilitiesMember ServiceInvolved in all front desk related activitiesAnswer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with a variety of questionsCheck members into the systemNew member sign-upTake prospective members on toursFacilitate all member requests, issues, and questionsEmployeesRecruit, hire, train and develop a high performing staff consisting of Assistant General Managers, Front Desk Associates, and Fitness TrainersCreate and maintain a welcoming atmosphere for all members, prospective members and guests and ensure staff follows superior customer service guidelinesSchedule staff and ensure all shifts are coveredLead by example and maintain consistent accountability for direct reports by training and coaching, ensuring adherence to PF's values and goalsAdministration and processing of bi-weekly employee timesheetsResolve employee issues or concernsManage corrective action/termination activitiesManage cash drawer and deposit procedureCleanlinessOversee cleanliness and maintenance of facility including taking responsibility for largest section of cleaning dailyMaintain correct cleaning and daily round logsManage club Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) platformEnsure safety of employees, members and club propertyDetermine and communicate equipment repair in a timely mannerBenefitsFun & Fast Paced: Comfortable wearing a number of hats and getting your hands dirty; growing organization where everyone helps build the organization and multi-taskingMedical & Dental Insurance: Competitive Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Program availableRetirement: 401(K) and Roth Retirement Savings Plan with competitive company matchFree Planet Fitness Membership: Black Card membership on usQualifications/Requirements2 years Supervisor or Manager experience in a restaurant or retail environment in a high-volume atmosphere or two years Planet Fitness experience preferredFlexible rotating scheduleFamiliarity with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel)High School Diploma or Equivalent requiredBachelors Degree or four years supervisor or manager experience preferredAbility to travel to other clubs as neededCurrent CPR Certification required or willingness to get certified upon hirePhysical Requirements: Ability to talk and hear, sit, stand, and use hands to handle or feel. Occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
