With an understanding of business needs and a passion for health and wellness, you offer tailored and innovative solutions to each customer.What You’ll DoThis is a Full-Time Hourly Supervisory PositionLead, coach, and support your team to provide exceptional service and guidance to customers.Oversee daily store operations, including business performance, product management, and ensuring your team has the tools to succeed.Represent the GNC brand by offering expert product knowledge and promoting the "Live Well" message.Merchandise products according to GNC standards and ensure visibility and easy purchasing.Support the total shopping experience, including visual and operational elements, current sales initiatives, and customer relationships (e.g., MYGNC Rewards).Achieve and exceed personal sales and productivity goals while helping sales associates realize their sales potential.Build strong teams, provide ongoing feedback, recruit, hire, and manage performance.Open, close, and operate the retail facility, including cash handling, inventory counts, and deposits per procedures.Attend community events to promote the organization’s mission and initiatives.Environmental Factors & Working ScheduleStand or walk for up to eight hours a day.Frequent reaching, bending, and twisting; ability to reach above shoulders and below waist.Repetitive hand-to-finger motions; use of hands and arms.Frequently lift up to 20 pounds; occasionally lift up to 40 pounds; push/pull up to 20 pounds.Climb ladders, reach, and bend as needed.Work in temperatures ranging from 50–85 degrees, especially in stock rooms.Use a computer up to 60% of the time.Stores Management ScheduleManagers are expected to work five (5) days / 40 hours per week and adhere to the following:Mall and strip center stores: at least two weeknights (until closing), one weekend night, and one other night.Strip center stores: full shift on Saturdays.Mall managers: weekends required; minimum one full Sunday per month.Downtown stores: lunch hour hours (11am–2pm); one weeknight until closing if open evenings; Saturdays not required.All managers: work all major U.S. holidays the store is open.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.Benefits & CompensationBenefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, STD, LTD, paid life insurance, 401K with company match, 30% employee merchandise discount on GNC products, 20% discount on third-party products, monthly free product offers, and access to Employee Assistance pensation: Eligible for the Individual Sales Incentive Plan; additional benefits include medical, dental, vision insurance; employer-paid life insurance; flex spending accounts; short- and long-term disability; 401(k) with 4% employer match; paid time off (11 vacation days, 5 sick days, 8 holidays including 6 floating holidays and 2 observed holidays), paid parental leave (8-week maternity, 2-week paternity); 30% employee merchandise discount on GNC products and 20% discount on third-party products.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionSales and Business DevelopmentIndustriesRetailPortland, OR postings are listed for reference and may reflect recent activity.
